Hello Candle Breeze fans!
Writing today with Ocean Mist filling my office while “List of Demands” by Robyn is playing on my Aroma Radio mix. As I am writing it is pouring rain and Ocean Mist is making it possible for me to carry on. Funny how an aroma can change your mood.
A Happy Birthday shout out to Carol R. who turned 44 over the weekend. “Don’t look a day over 34 girl!”

The new Candle Breeze tv commericials are now in the can and need to decide which to use. Spent Friday morning shooting three different 30 second spots and two 60 second spots at the “Talking Pictures Studio with Tony Toscano. Tony’s new show is now on the WB Network with over 300 syndicated stations and we’re so happy for Tony and Candle Breeze of course. Candle Breeze will be the lead advertiser into his show beginning June 1st. Tony directed the commercial spots and we had a difference of creative expression on who was to say what and when. I wanted more of Tony and less of me when describing Candle Breeze. Tony has a loyal following and his viewers trust Tony in his movie picks and advice. Tony is such a huge fan of Candle Breeze and its effectiveness. His Hollywood guests that he interviews always comment on how wonderful his studio smells. I feel that the viewers would much rather hear about Candle Breeze from Tony than me. After further review of the commerical takes I strongly suggest that we use the Tony only scripts.

By the comments I received after the long weekend seems that many of you had Aroma Radio mix suggestions playing at your parties. Christine from Santa Barbara wrote me and took the Aroma Radio mix to 2 different BBQ’s. She writes, “Deno, I’m so pleased with my CandleAire but I have to tell you your Aroma Radio was so well received at 2 BBQ parties that I turned everyone on to this past weekend. Thanks for replying to my email and providing me with 18 of the grooviest tracks that were non stop groove. Your Morphine and US3 suggestions were right on when it comes to moving a party”.

So you all know, I recommended ‘Honey White” and Top Floor Bottom Buzzer” by Morphine, “Flip Fantasia” & “Come’on Everybody” by US3. I can imagine everyone groovin’ to these really cool tunes. Wish I could have been there!

Celebrated Diana’s B-day Saturday night with 30 or so good friends and as warning in a prior blog we had copious amounts of ouzo as the toast shot of choice. Lucky for me I only live about 3 blocks from the party and it only took me 10 minutes to walk home.
Walked back the following morning to get my car and meet everyone for a Golf Tournament. Most of us met for breakfast before the tourney and the hostess at the resturant knew exactly which group in the back that I was looking for when I walked in. Seems we must of all had that same ouzo hangover look. Tami was my golf partner this weekend and we had more laughs than good shots and believe me we had a lot of bad shots. Tami went birdie birdie for the first time in her golfing career and celebrated with a big old nasty cigar. Tami is a huge fashion statement when it comes to golf attire. Tami palyed in a cowboy hat the entire round which was a first for me. As Tami said “if a cowboy hat can make Dwight Yoakam look sexy can you imagine what it can do for me”. I’m now a big beleiver in it’s not how good you play but it’s how good you look on the golf course. I think it was Franando Lamas who said, “it’s better to look good than to feel good darling”.

Hang on everyone! I know I told you the “Juicy Peach Cand-O will be available soon. This Friday they will be available on the net so hang on just a little longer. Root Beer Float will be ready for Father’s Day and expect a huge run on this Cand-O fragrance by the amount of emails and blog comments begging for it. Thanks to all who have made the “deal of the day” on the web site a big success. Look for fantastic Father’s Day gift deal of the day specials in the next few weeks.

I’ll check in later this week to update.

Cheers…

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

Writing today with Country Apple filling my office with wonderful aroma while “Relating to a Psychopath” by Macy Gray is playing on my Aroma Radio mix.

Sorry Jazz fans, it’s over!
Seems the Jazz were already looking forward to Monday and game 7 and forgot to show up Friday during game 6.
The Lakers saved “Furg” $500 by outplaying the Jazz for 47 minutes. We had 2 chances to tie the game in the last 10 seconds but couldn’t get 1 to fall. “Furg” did call right after the game and asked if I wanted to come to LA anyway and watch a real team play for the Western finals. I think I’ll pass and not tune into another NBA game untill next season.

Thanks to all of you who took advantage of the Tony Toscano “Talking Pictures” 1/2 off Candle Breeze special last Friday. It was the biggest web order day that Candle Breeze has ever had and the special was for 2 hours only. Keep listening to 101.9 The End on Fridays 8:00 am to hear when Tony will provide this special again. Hint, maybe the first Friday in June.

Was 90 degrees here this weekend and took advantage of the great weather. Played golf, went to brunch with all of Sophia Circle, drove out to Antelope Island and enjoyed the day with the top down. Looking forward to the 3 day weekend comming up. Playing golf Friday with the boy’s, Saturday night there is a 50th Birthday party for Dianna Green that includes copious amounts of ouzo and late night poker, Sunday there is a couples Golf Tournament in Tooele if we are not too beat-up from the 50th B day bash.

A “get well soon” to my nephew Andoni who broke his wrist and can’t swing a bat or golf club for 4 weeks. Another nephew Agustino just got out of a cast and now can swing and play ball again. It’s amazing these kids are not in casts all year by the way they play.

I’ll check in later and fill you in on the progress of the new 30 & 60 second Candle Breeze tv commercials that we are shooting this week.

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

Today I’m writing as Rose Petals is filling my office with wonderful aroma while “So many ways” by Morphine is palying on my Aroma Radio mix. Sophie is here doing some deep spring cleaning in our office and Rose Petals is her favorite. My office has never been so clean! She is rearranging everything and I’m having a difficult time finding things in a neat and tidy environment. She did tell me that I need to keep the toilet cover down for good luck. She says it has something to do with fortune running out if you leave it up. I will try this cover thing down for a while and see if it works.

Sorry about not posting some of your comments, as mentioned before you need to keep it clean and postable. I will try and post a few this weekend.

Want to wish HAPPY BIRTHDAY to “T Fair” this Monday the 19th! “T” is one of my dearest friends and a big Candle Breeze fan. “T” is moving to Tulsa soon and she will be dearly missed by many here in SLC. “T’s” husband Greg has accepted a great job offer in Tulsa and being the very supportive spouse has agreed to follow him to OK. We all have many acquaintances in our lives and few really good friends, “T” is a really good friend. The past 20 years “T” and our friend “Jonny M” have seen some of the best up and comming bands that have made their way through SLC. In the old Zephyr 200 seat capacity days we saw Morphine, Dave Matthews warm up Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Bob Schneider, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Steve Miller band, Joan Osborne, Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker, to name just a few of the numerous shows we enjoyed together. Looking forward to the increase in Tulsa Candle Breeze sales on the website. Hang in there “T”, best of luck to you and Greg.
I love you and we’ll miss you…

“G” and I had lunch with the famous National Movie Critic Tony Toscano from “Talking Pictures” and got the inside scoop about “Sex in the City” and “Batman”. I’m sworn to secrecy about his ratings and reviews but I can say that Sex in the City is a chick flick that guys will hate and Batman is a real dude flick that will win Oscar’s.
Tony is producing a new 30 & 60 second TV commercial for Candle Breeze that will air begginning July on his new and expanded “Talking Pictures” program that is now on the WB Network. His daughter Katie is Producing and Directing some hand puppet spoofs about Candle Breeze that will be appearing on youtube in the next few weeks.

I know, I know, the Jazz really blew it! Furgis tried calling me in the wee hours of the morning to rub it in but I refused to answer the phone I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter only to be awaken by screams of L2 and
“you suck Kirilenko!” in the fourth quarter. “L2″ has a mouth like a sailor when it comes to the bad officiating that the Jazz receive on the road. I did see the last 5 minutes and thought we had a chance to steal one in LA. The turning point was when we were down by 1 and Gasol pushed off on Okur after they missed a 3 pointer and Gasol got the offensive rebound and put it back in for a 4 point lead. He did it again the next trip down the floor and we were down by 6 with less than 50 seconds. “L2″ is a Bay area girl and has always been a Warriors fan but by the way she was freaking out and yelling at the TV I think the Jazz have replaced the Warriors in her world. Don’t fret Jazz fans, we will win game 6 and Furg will be sending a plane ticket SLC/LAX/SLC for Game 7. Checked online and the air fare is now $510. Should have booked that $345 ticket last week when I told you. By Saturday when Furg does book the ticket it should be around $700. I’ll let Furg out of the deal for $300 cash and a picture of him in a Jazz shirt if he concedes by game time Friday. Clock is ticking my friend.

I’m taking the weekend off and going to enjoy the summer like conditions so I will check in on Monday.
Have a wonderful aroma filled weekend all…

Candle Breeze vs. Candles

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Hello CB Fans!

Today I’m writing with Amaretto filling my home with its wonderful aroma while “Breakdown” by Tom Petty is playing on my Aroma Radio mix. The Amaretto makes me crave coffee really bad.

Thanks so much for the many comments on how much your Mother’s LOVED their Candle Breeze and CandleAire units. I want to also thank the really cool people who stopped by the kiosk in Fashion Place Mall that hugged and wished Sophie a Happy Mother’s Day. That is all she has talked about the past few days. As most of you know, Sophie is our Kiosk Queen on Fridays. There are customers who only shop the Mall on Friday’s just so they can visit Sophie. There are many times on Friday’s that you will find a crowd of people around the Candle Breeze kiosk just to get a hug and smile from Sophie while they are wating to get into the Cheese Cake factory.

Speaking of Cheese Cake, I have had so many Cand-O requests on this blog with Cheese Cake being one of them. I have also received Purple Yams, Cheddar Cheese and Gasoline Cand-O suggestions to name just a few. I wouldn’t even know where to start to come up with these formulations. I will keep trying.

I have been asked all the time what is the advantage of
Candle Breeze vs lighted Candles?
The best way to answer this is, it would take “dozens” of lighted candles spread out through out your home “hours” to do what 1 Candle Breeze can do in “minutes”. The value equation is a no brainer, you would have to spend over $300 in lighted candles to fill your home with aroma the way Candle Breeze can for less than $25. Our large Candle Breeze and CandleAire units have a flickering bulb to give the impression of a flame. We did this for those of you who enjoy the ambience of a lighted candle without the fear of fire or dirty soot on your ceilings and walls.

Fans of 101.9 The Chunga Show this Friday will get special Candle Breeze pricing from 8:00 am - 10:00 am only. Our famous and dearly loved Movie Critic Tony Toscano wants to share some of his Italian love and offer 1/2 off pricing for his fans this Friday morning. He will announce this on his segment at 8:00 am and make it available untill The Chunga Show signs off at 10:00 am. Simply type Tony in the coupon code on the website and receive 50% off from 8-10 am. Having lunch with Tony Wednesday to try and figure out how we are going to pull this off. I’ll offer to pay for lunch if he picks up the discount. Don’t like my chances…
As Tony says, “when it comes to Candle Breeze it’s Amore”!

Mike at the Greek Market owes me $20 and lunch. He bet me that the Jazz would lose 1 of the 2 games here in SLC.
Mike is a huge Jazz fan and deep down he was hoping that I would win the bet. Going to collect today, I’m ordering his famous Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. Ummm good…
Chris Furgis (”Furg”) in LA who was my best man and godfather to “Meech” was so sure that the Lakers would win in 5 games that he bet me if the series goes 7 games he will fly me into LA for game 7.
“Furg” is a SLC boy who graduated from the “U” and received his MBA from UCLA, he has been in LA for 23 years now and is a Laker fan by default. Checked on line today and the airfare is only $345 to SLC/LA/SLC if you book today, I would book it today if I were “Furg”.
I will accept any side action with Laker fans on this blog.
I will check in after game 5

Cheers,

Deno

Weekend update

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Hello CB Fans!

Writing as Orange Creamsicle fills my home while “More bacon than the pan can handle” by Mike Doughty is palying on my Aroma Radio CD.

Told you!
The Jazz are now tied with the Lakers at 2 games each.
Had the pleasure of attending the game in my dad’s seats with L2. Dad offered me his seats to the game without planning on me saying YES. I took plenty of flack from my brothers that share the seats with dad about taking one of them with me. My dad has seats 16 & 17 and I was told I had to sit in seat 16 due to everytime I sit in seat 17 we lose. Dad has plenty of connections and made sure that I was sitting in seat 16. Sylvia who is the Jazz PR person for his section made it quite clear that I was to sit in seat 16 or I would be escorted out. Sylvia was kind enough to make sure I had Jazz towels, noise makers and Jazz t-shirts in a very sweet care package prior to the game. Now I know why dad will never leave her section as long as she is his Jazz PR Section Rep. Thanks Sylvia for making the game so much more enjoyable!
As mentioned we had a blast and got our money’s worth with an overtime win over the Lakers. The crowd was as loud as ever, even with the numerous Laker fans that had no choice but to sit on their hands during the overtime period that the Jazz dominated. My favorite sign in the arena was “The only good Laker is a Salt Laker”. They did sell brews at the arena on Sunday so I didn’t need Johansson to smuggle in the 12 pack. With brews at $6.50 per I wish I would have brought Johansson. I hope Larry Miller donates all the proceeds from beer sales that he collected on Sunday.

Juicy Peach Cand-O’s will be available this Friday!
Thanks for all the Candle Breeze support this Mother’s Day! I know all Mother’s were thrilled with their Candle Breeze units and extra Cand-O’s.

Big thanks to Matt Cannon for all of his support and his ScentsDirect.com page. Matt is one of the best guys you will ever meet and we should all be so lucky to have a friend like him. Matt & Carol are having twin boys this summer and the boys should have more hair than Matt on their first day. Hang in there Matt, it’s only 48 months away from no more diapers!

Cheers,

Deno

Mother’s Day…

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Hi CB Fans!

Writing as Tangerine Blossom (my fav) fills my office with its wonderful aroma while “use me” by Bill Withers is playing on my Aroma Radio mix. Darius Rucker does a great cover of “Use Me” also. You decide…

Today is the last day to ensure Candle Breeze Mother’s Day gifts will be there in time when ordering online.
Don’t forget that when you purchase a Large Candle Breeze or CandleAire and purchase a small Candle Breeze, simply type in Chunga or Mom in the coupon code and get the small Candle Breeze FREE! This is available online or at The Fashion Place Mall Kiosk for those who live in SLC. If you’re in the mall be sure to stop by and tell Sophie Happy Mother’s Day. She will give you a huge hug that will make your day and hers.

Thanks for the tips on getting out of the “dog house” and back in good graces with L2. Some really funny tips and advice in which I will share with all soon. These ideas will help many of you out when you’re in big trouble.
Cand-O’s are a really good idea to get out of the dog house but unless it is a Nectarine fragrance I don’t think it will get me too far. L2 has been campaigning for this fragrance for some time now and it may take Nectarine to get her to throw me a bone or invite me to the cat house. She did come up with the Mojito Lime that has been a big hit so far.

The Jazz are not done yet so don’t give up. By this time Monday morning the series will be tied up at 2 a piece. I will be there cheering them on Sunday. I read that Larry Miller will not be attending due to it is Sunday and he will not disrespect the Sabbath. Look for me trying to sit in his seats. I’ll bet a Candle Breeze and a dozen Cand-O’s that he is rat holed somewhere watching the game on TV. That would be like not watching your child play on a Sunday. Could you do it? I wonder if they will be selling brews at the game since it is Sunday. I may have to bring my buddy David Johansson with me to the game, he is the only guy I know that can sneak in a 12 pack while wearing only shorts and a t-shirt.

I’m going to the Buzz Game Friday night to see the Isotopes play. John Baker the Catcher/DH plays for them and is L2’s favorite cousin. So I will be cheering for the Buzz except when Baker is at bat. He single handly beat the Buzz Wednesday night. I know you’re all wondering………
an Isotope is a Greek word that means “at the same place”, an isotope is different forms of an element each having different atomic mass. This info comes from my brother “G” who loves isotopes! Who would call a team the Isotopes? What’s next, “The Viragras”. I bet they would hit it long and hard and their pitching staff would go the distance. ;-}

Have agreat weekend all and don’t forget to call, hug or kiss your mothers this Sunday.

Happy Mother’s Day Sophie!
Love,
Sophia Circle

Cheers,

Deno

Sorry…

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Hi CB Fans!

Today I’m writing with Amaretto wafting through my “dog house” and “Sorry” by BuckCherry playing on my Aroma Radio mix. I’ll explain the “dog house” in a moment.

Thanks to “The Chunga Show” this morning for having fun with my blog. I want to also thank Chelsea for the sweet email. By the comments this morning on my blog and your calls to “what’s happening hot stuff” on the radio many of you are more excited about the “Chelsea” calander than our new Cand-O fragrances that are due out the next few months.

I want to send a personal apology to a very special person in my life. “L2″ as she is affectionately known by her adoring fans is due a sincere apology from me. “L2″ has been very supportive in all that we are doing here at Candle Breeze and she has been my parachute when ever I’m in a free fall for the past 2 1/2 years. This blog thing gets a little crazy and strange at times with weird comments and requests. There have been posts that I now realize were offensive to you and I’m so sorry…The last thing I want to do to “L2″ or any of our Candle Breeze fans is upset or disrespect you in any way. I’m in the dog house with “L2″ at this time and with the weather getting cold again I hope she lets me back in soon for comfort and treats.
Any suggestions on making it up to “L2″ would be greatly appreciated. Please keep all suggestions under $100.
“L2″, “Sorry” by BuckCherry says it all…xoxo

As Chelsea mentioned this morning, the “Juicy Peach” Cand-O is super yummy and will be available next Friday May 16th.
Congratulations to the 12 KBER Radio winners yesterday who won Candle Breeze units on 20 minute Tuesday’s with Mick & Allen. You can pick up your gifts at the Fashion Place Kiosk, make sure you bring ID and pick up a few extra Cand-O’s while you’re there.

Once again, thanks for all the blog comments and big thanks for all of the calls this morning on the Radio! Nothing makes me happier than hearing on the radio how much you love Candle Breeze!

Have a great day and cheer for the Jazz!
I hope I don’t have to run a new cable into the dog house to watch the game tonight..

Cheers,

Deno

“All about The Chunga Show” CB Blog

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Hello all!

Today I’m writing with Vanilla Sugar Cookie filling my home with that wonderful aroma while “Island in the sun” by Weezer playing on my Aroma Radio mix. The Vanilla Sugar Cookie makes my house smell like a Bakery.

Want to thank all my radio fans who have been blogging.
101.9 The End and KBER fans have been very kind and very funny.

Many of you want to know inside info on Chunga, Cort and Chelsea. My experiences with that trio have been nothing but bliss! Chunga could be the most talented radio personality on the air. Off the air he is very humble and sincere, go figure. He loves to rattle his listeners to create a frenzy and is good at it. He does have that Hollywood look now that he has spent millions on his new body and extensions. Just kidding about the extensions, it was just one extension. ;-} SLC should appreciate his talent because he is too good to be here in this small market with the talent he has. We will see or hear him in LA one day soon, his talents such as acting, voice impressions, wit, stand up comedy and directing will take him far away from here soon. Enjoy him while we are all fortunate to have him. Cort Johnson is the hardest working man in radio and a Howdy Doodie look-a-like. His laugh makes us all laugh and keeps the Chunga Show running smooth. He really is a good Mormon and one of the really cool Mormons. He is one of those guys that you want all good thing to happen to him. Chelsea is a natural beauty and her voice is super sexy. Mark my words, she will make this morning show more popular than it has ever been. Chelsea is the next SLC radio sexystar. Been thinking of a Candle Breeze calander girl promo for 2009 and may use Chelsea for all 12 months. This trio out of the kindness of their hearts have been so good to Candle Breeze and I am forever grateful for their support and kind words. “The Chunga Show” rocks!!!

I have received some very creative Cand-O names and creations from many of you. I’m thinking of doing a contest for new names and creations with the winner (s) receiving a years supply of Cand-O’s.

Make sure you make Mom happy this Sunday with a hug and a “I love you”!

Cheers,

Deno

Breeze Blog

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Hello CB fans!
Once again thanks for all of the comments over the weekend. Glad to hear that all of you are giving Candle Breeze to your Mother’s this Sunday. They will be so surprised how well it works and how wonderful their home will smell.

I’m writing as Mojito Lime is filling my entire home with aroma and “Mudhouse” by Bob Schneider is playing on my Aroma Radio mix.

Sorry I can’t post all of the comments that I have received but will get to the most entertaining and post soon. I can’t beleive how much time it takes to read all of the comments. I can edit some but the most entertaining can not be edited and keep its humor. It seems that the more I ask you not to send weed or body odor Cand-O requests the more I get. I do enjoy the food aroma requests and will work on the Bacon and Cotton Candy.

Keep those new Cand-O ideas comming!

Chow,

Deno

Blog…Blog…Blog…

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

Hello CB Blog Fans!
Today is Wendy Lynn’s BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Wendy is one of our biggest fans here at Candle Breeze and we want to wish her all good things today!

I writing with “Love Spell” wafting through my office today and Aroma Radio is playing “Dance the Night Away” by The Mavericks. Received lots of props on my Aroma Radio collection so far and as mentioned in an eariler blog I will get you a set list in a few weeks.

Getting many questions on what are some good Mother’s Day Cand-O fragrances that you can send to mom. Seems moms really like Sage & Citrus, White Satin and Lemon Grass for the clean smell. I’m giving my mom Tangerine Blossom and Cherry Blossom because Mother’s Day feels like everything is blossoming.

Dudes! NO MORE requests for weed or hash Cand-O fragrances! As of yesterday I have received dozens of Cand-O fragrance ideas and most are stoner requests. If I formulated a weed Cand-O can you imagine how hungry you would be all the time? The Strudel and Vanilla Sugar Cookie get me in enough trouble from our fans. Mark from Las Vegas wants a NASCAR Cand-O fragrance. I have no idea what that smell would be. Kyle form AR writes me and says his girlfriend loves the odor from his armpits after he works out and it turns her on. He wants to know if I could make a “Pit B.O.” Cand-O? Get a new girlfriend man!

That’s all I have for today, I’m going to see Iron Man this evening and I’ll report on Monday. My good friend and national movie critic Tony Toscano says it’s really cool so I’m kinda excited. If I like it well enough I may change the name of my White Satin Cand-O to Robert Downey Jr. because people tell me it smells like Downey Clean Sheets. Maybe not, that was kinda stupid…

Have a great weekend all…

Deno
