Father’s Day wrap-up

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

I’m writting today as the new Juicy Peach Cand-O is filling my office with the aroma of Peach Cobbler pie while “Bitter Blue” by Shannon McNally is playing on the Aroma Radio Mix.

Before I start rambling I want to thank those of you who sent me very nice Father’s Day wishes this past week. As for Nikki’s question, I’m very happy with the 2 kids that I have now and will have to pass on your cute offer to be the father of your first born.

Once agian our Candle Breeze fans made the Tony Toscano/Talking Pictures Deal of the Day on Friday a huge success! Looks like plenty of Fathers will be enjoying Candle Breeze in their homes and offices this week. Glad to hear that you all love the new Juicy Peach! Have received many compliments on how it smells like Peach Cobbler and “peaches that mom used to bottle”. Root Beer Float will roll out July 4th and Apricot Honey will follow August 1st.

It was nice to hear that a few of you attended the Old 97’s concert that I recommended. Yes, they were as fun as I predicted and Rhrett Miller gave us 2 hours of great vocals. “Roller Skate Skinny” had everyone singing word for word with Rhrett, that was really cool.

I had a great Father’s Day weekend with lots of golf and sun. I was glued to the TV late night Friday with the news of the passing of NBC’s Tim Russert. It was L2 who really introduced me to Tim and his “Meet the Press” program and glad she did. L2 is very politically in the know and as she would say bright and early every Sunday morning, “if it’s Sunday morning it’s Meet the Press”. It was L2’s Sunday ritual and I can imagine she was as sad as anyone when she heard the news, she has lost the one voice that she could truly trust in politics. I made it a point to start my Father’s Day Sunday with what could be my final Meet the Press viewing. The program was hosted by Tom Brokaw who in my opinion is the best in the business. There were many tributes that showed how loved Tim was but it was the pure love and emotion displayed by James Carville a Democratic strategist and his wife Mary Matalin a Republican strategist that opened the flood gate of tears for me. I came to learn that Tim would bring them both on the show to stir up controversy just to entertain himself. I just wanted to pass my heart felt sympathy to all of you who loved Tim and special thanks to L2 for broadening my world.

OK, on a lighter note. “The Taste of Greece” was Sunday evening and what a party some of you missed. As mentioned last week all of you were invited and a few of you took me up on my offer. Lexie and her Sex in the City entourage showed up and had the feast of their lives. They came without tickets and mentiond they were guests of Candle Breeze and were escorted to our table. I’m proud to say that I am now the Godfather to Lexie, Jill, Alison, and Trisha. They were baptized with copious amount of Ouzo and Baklava. Alison suggested an Ouzo fragrance for a Cand-O which may not be a bad idea. Jill has a future as a Belly Dancer if she chooses and the Bouzouki player had eyes only for Trisha. Thanks for taking Candle Breeze up on their offer. I had a blast!

Received a ton of Aroma Radio questions, seems most of you want more than 1 blog a week from me just for the song selections and life updates. I will continue to only write once a week but will send additional song selections with every web order when you request “songs” in the message box when ordering.

Once again, thanks for all of the blog comments and supporting the “Deal of the Day” specials.
Big thanks to Ali & Meech for a great Father’s Day! I love hanging out with you two!

Talk to you all next week.

Cheers,

Deno

    Hi Deno
I love your blog!!! After reading your blog today I went to fashion place and bought the new Peach cando and I love it! It really does smell like peach cobbler. I down load everyone of your aroma radio songs and bitter blue by Shannon Macnally is my fav so far. I am so glad you wrote about Tim Russert. I have enjoyed him for about 10 years now and I too was glued to the news Friday night and watched Meet the Press Sunday morning. James and Mary broke me up also with Tom Brokaw as the perfect host. I love the way you write and you crack me up at times. I am jealous that I missed your taste of greece and want to know how I can be your god daughter. LOL. One more thing, are you really a warlock like Chunga & Chelsea say you are? I have an ex boyfriend that I would like you to cast a spell on. ;-)
I look forward to your next blog and the Root Beer float cando.

    Hi Deno!
This is Jill your new greek god daughter/goddess. ;-)
I wanted to write you and thank you for one of the most fun nights I have ever had at your Taste of Greece party. When Lexie called me and told me about your blog and your invitation I had to see for myself what your friend Jonny M thought heaven may be like. Well, I must confess that if heaven is anything like the taste of Greece then I am no longer an Atheist. I want to personally thank you for your generosity and inviting us to join your table. Thanks also for reminding me about my belly dancing talents, after the 3 rounds of ouzo that you bought us I don’t remember much. ;-)
Alyson and I visited your stand in fashion place and visited Sophie there, she is the sweetest woman we have ever met. After purchasing your new juicy peach (which I love) and cherry blossom we talked to Sophie for about an hour and we came to learn that she is your mother. We now have all the inside scoop about you! :-O
Your culture is so amazing and fun. I speak for all of us when I say THANK YOU for being so nice to us and we all agree that you are the best looking Greek in Salt Lake! We love Candle Breeze as much as Greeks!
    Much success,
    Jill
